• Best Tortilla de patata (for breakfast or 12pm early lunch), great combination with a glass wine/ beer:

• Pintxos/ Tapas:

  -La Viña del Ensanche: (you should order: huevo con foie, la tapa de carrillera y la tapa de Joselito 270 grados)

  -El Globo : foie, every pintxo is very good. The most famous is txangurro (crab fish) award winning place

  -Claudio : Jamón (old town)

  -La ribera (old townV)

  -La Olla (old town)

  -Las Cepas - pintxos y restaurante, tapas

  -Abando : tosta de jamón en pan de cristal

  -Markina(€€): chuleton 

  -Amaren(€€€): very famous for meat

  -El Capricho(€): quality price - very good

  -Burgoa Restaurante (€€): quality price - very good

  -BTQ (Bilbao Te Quiero) (€): one of my favourites. quality price - very very good. Servings are very generous.

  -Zapirain (€€€): fish soup is amazing

  -Andra Mari (1 Michelin star): 20 minutes away by car from Bilbao, a very traditional and outstanding quality restaurant.
